About Me
Hello! I'm Vicky

I live with my husband and our cat, in a little house in York. We both grew up in York and absolutely love it - its pretty, full of history, wonderful people, and good food.

I lived in London while studying for my degree, and graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2015. Since then my career path has taken many turns, I have worked as a Veterinary Surgeon, Donut Maker, and currently, as a Clinical Scientist.

So, what does this have to do with photography you say? I hear you.

I'm a firm believer in following what makes you happy. I have loved photography from a young age, and specifically that warm glow you feel when looking back at photographs, remembering a time that brought you joy. The photograph helps you re-live those memories.

During the first lockdown in 2020, I took the leap and signed up to my first photography course. Learning a new skill was wonderful, but what I loved the most was capturing people, and their connection. Since then I have taken every opportunity to hone my skills, which has given me so much enjoyment!
Photography encompasses so many things I value, the ability to interact with people, something to take a huge amount of pride in, continuously learn and improve, and to create something beautiful that will last forever.

My approach is warm, gentle and friendly. You deserve to receive beautiful images, and I am absolutely committed to providing these for you.

A few things about me... I love my home-comforts! Blankets, cosy autumn evenings, hot chocolate, Sunday afternoons with friends spent at the pub with a good IPA. I love Harry Potter, sunflowers, chocolate digestives (or any chocolate based biscuit...).

If there's anything more you'd like to know, get in touch! I'd love to hear from you.
